I have a 245/75R16 under there, which is 30.5 inches in diameter. It fits fine. I have heard that the next size up from that still fits, although you may have to let a bit of air out. Check the diameter of your spare and if it is 31” or under you’ll be good.
I have a leak that drips down from that rear center trim piece as well. I used marine sealer around cracks at the roof rack studs several years ago, and that stopped it for a while. Then I went to Flex Seal and that worked for a while too. It seems like there is enough vibration or flex to crack...
Tomorrow is drive the Jeep to college to pick up the college student day!! I was going to say pick up the teenager, but she isn’t one anymore! :D It will be nice to have both kids home for the holidays.
X2 on the Creative Steel steering rack bushings. Such a huge improvement over the worn-out stock ones! The Jeep is more solid and the handling is better. It is easier to keep a straight line on the highway. (And yes, the stock bushings would have to be absolutely shot.)
That’s true. They ship to shops, not individuals. If the OP has the capacity to do an engine install from a parts Jeep at home, that would save thousands. If looking for a running engine, look for a totaled Jeep in the junkyard. It “ran when parked.” ;)
I think they require proof of regular oil changes and preventative maintenance. Is there something in there that is cause for concern?
I have a Jasper in my KK from 2014 and it is well out of warranty by now.
Jasper remanufactured engines are supposed to correct design defects like this. I am not sure but maybe they pin the valve seats or something. Jasper offers a 3 year, 100k mile warranty on both parts and labor to back this up. The cost is more than a junkyard engine swap, but you get peace of...
I hear you on the rear control arms. I’m on my second replacement set on my 08. I went with Mevotech circular arms this time, hoping for a better result. It does suck to have to drop the tank.
Let me know if you have any problem with clunking sounds over bumps after doing the swap. I think I...
So I would love to make room in my garage and get these parts into the hands of someone who would actually use them.
Black Friday sale: $75 shipped for the whole kit n kaboodle.
Tom isn’t on the forum much anymore. His bull bar is a Matrix bull bar by 4XGuard. You might find a used one for sale but the company no longer manufactures them. Good luck!!
I haven’t driven my Liberty in several weeks. Today I clicked the remote start from inside the house to make sure the battery stays charged and engine seals stay lubricated.
Jeepy is retired from daily driver duty, as she has about 232.000 miles. She is still my trailer tow rig, off road...
Oil changes every 3000 miles with Mobil-1 synthetic. Spark plugs every 30k miles with copper NGK’s. But those are probably in the obvious category.
I also have a Scangauge II that tells me my instantaneous and average mpg, and it helps me modify my driving to be more efficient. Adjusting the...
