If your kid would need a car at some point, would $2500-3000 get him something reliable and practical, or is it better to have him driving the Jeep you know the history on, know how to fix, and that he will take care of because he loves it… I am biased though because my KK is on its second...- lfhoward

I think I have the answer to why my Jeep seems to have a driveline vibration when coasting. The boot on the drivers side CV axle is toast and it has let out all the grease. This might be the reason, or perhaps something else is going on too. But likely the CV is toast anyway and needs to be...- lfhoward

Today I drove the Jeep 450 miles to Vermont. It has developed quite a prominent driveline vibration when coasting, particularly between 30 and 40 mph. It feels like hitting a rumble strip. New guy looking at getting a Liberty
If buying a 2008-12, avoid any Jeep that has a sky slider fabric top, no matter how nice the rest of the vehicle is. These tops are very unreliable and may be unfixable when they break, as there are no spare parts available outside of a bone yard.- lfhoward

No, they all have the electronic switch. But it has always worked for me and I never had any problem with it. There is a shift motor/actuator on the outside of the t-case that can be swapped out if there is ever an issue.- lfhoward

I drove the Jeep Liberty into Philly today for weekend errands. Back in October we traded our Commander for a little electric 2016 Ford Focus.
