Limited Drivers:

How comfy are the leather/cloth seats in the Limited?

I came to my Liberty Sport from a WJ Grand Cherokee and the seats are just not as cushy as the WJ. They're not terrible but on longer drives I yearn for the cushy driving experience of my old Grand Cherokee.

I'm wondering how the Limited seats compare, especially the cloth ones but I'd be open to hearing about the leather ones too. If they're better I might try and find some Limited seats to swap into it.

Thanks in advance!

When I first got my 04 Rocky Mountain, I thought they were leather/cloth, but are actually listed as vinyl/cloth with logo, go figure.
The seat bottom is flat and not the most comfortable. I often use 2 inch conical foam for a seat cushion, & it's necessary on longer trips.
Somehow I wish I had real lazy-boy leather made seats !! :)

I wish other's could post photos of their seats with comments, as I'm also interested to see what's out there, & view what real leather seats may look like with wear.

02-04 Limited leather seats are very comfy
05-07s are flatter and do not sit well at all
I have 03 limited leather in my 03 Sport and 04 Sport both, love them
My 05 Limited with leather are total crap to ride in after 200 miles or so

My previous vehicle to my 2002 Export Sport with cloth seats was a Landrover Freeloader...as I called it.

Total piece of rubbish but it had comfortable seats with a control whereby you could firm up the vertical section ie. Lumbar control...very neat if you have lower back problems.

Changing to my KJ Sport was a bit of a shock as far as the seats are concerned. I still have the original cloth seats but have a large amount of sponge cushions to sit on and to support my back.

I should have tried some Limited seats in the past but it is a bit late for that now.....the cushions will have to stay!o_O

From the looks of it they seem like a similar design to the sport seats, at least as far as shape goes. These are my Sport seats.

Sounds like that Sport seats are universally maligned so far, hahaha. Looks like the Limited seats sound like a much better option if I can find some, according to Tom. I like the cloth ones because I just prefer cloth to leather in the cold winters and hot summers we have here in Montana. They have proven pretty hard to find especially in matching taupe, though... Maybe the dark gray wouldn't look too out of place.

Early model Limited leather seats are higher on the sides providing more support when driving
05-07 leather are flatter , nothing to hold your butt in the seat like the earlier models
Northwest Ohio along Lake Erie has colder winters as well, ( lived there over 10 years ) and its easy during those times to throw on a set of seat covers if you have a cold butt

Ah, seat covers, good idea. Maybe some of those giant shaggy imitation sheep's wool ones ;)
Also, as to seat bolsters, anyone who designs automotive seats without them is a questionable designer, IMO.

Last really, really good seat I sat in and drove many a mile in was my 2000 Peterbilt 379, of course air ride suspension, air ride cab/sleeper and seats of course
had a set of Minimizer Premium UltraLeather full Swivel With Heat & Cool , never wanted to get out
