Hey guys! I don't really post but I am always reading threads and just like to remain quiet :p

Anyways I thought I'd mention since I can't seem to find anything about it but I got on the mail a letter from Chrysler about a recall for some Chrysler vehicles including the Liberty.

I can scan and post the letter but basically it is that "The Active Head Restraints (AHR) on your vehicle may not deploy during a rear end collision. As a result, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 202a - "Head Restraints for Passenger Vehicles." This could increase the risk of injury to a front seat occupant during certain crash conditions."

Tells me Chrysler will "repair" my vehicle free of charge (parts and labor) but that they currently do not have the parts and that in the near future I will get another letter telling me they are there and then I can take it to the agency to get it done.

Anyway, kind of annoyed since I don't want some guy touching my Liberty baby, but I guess safety first. So yeah contact any chrysler dealer for more info if any of you have a vehicle and haven't heard or got anything in the mail from them. Shouldn't have a problem. Had an old plymouth we bought used and we found out had a recall years later and just took it to a random dealer and they did it for free. of course they always try to upsell you about it and see if you want something else done, but it's better to always just do that on that trip.

Post if you guys have any info :)
