    Finding Electric Brake Wire.

Nice write up. This is an FYI for anyone with a 2007 KJ. I was wiring in my brake controller and went a-huntin' for the elusive "blue wire." After digging through the harness behind the white panel, I could not find any solid blue wires. What I did find was that the brake controller wire was a...

Wanted - 2" receiver for front of 06 KJ

Call them and see if they actually have it. All front receiver hitches for the Liberty have been discontinued a while back and no one has them new anymore. More than likely, this vendor has not updated his website for a while to reflect that this hitch is discontinued. If they do have them...

    looking to buy - 04 vs 05 vs 06

The 05+ models have traction control and electronic stability control. (Which I like.) Some people with the manual trannys have problem with it, but it seems to work very well on auto Libertys.

    No info on sat. radio

That's the way it works...and the reason why I use a Sportster Reply with an aux-input on my RBQ radio rather than getting the Sirius add-on.

    Another Nitrogen in Tires Question

I drop down to 18-20 myself. I don't go lower than that because then the tire starts to sag and I lose clearance. In addition to better traction, it makes ride about 1000% better while hitting the trails by allowing the tires to absorb alot of the bumps, washboard, etc. When you're on the...

    Choice

I personally would go for a 2005+ just for the traction control. If you are going to be wheeling it, you won't need a limited slip or locker. (unless you are doing extreme rock crawling)

Any drawbacks to 2.5" coil lift?

The majority of people with 06+ KJs that hate ESP are those with manual trannies. If you have an auto, you will be fine. I love my lift AND the ESP/Traction Control.

How much is your tag renewal?

Mine is about $400 for my new 2007 here in NV. It will go down as the car depreciates. Yeah, it's high, but I don't pay any state income tax, so I'm still ahead.

    Wheel Spacers.

I'd suggest Spidertrax spacers. Same type of design, but adonized to help protect against corrosion. They've been given excellent reviews by Rockcrawler and JP magazines. And they are only $99 a pair from northridge4x4.com. When you buy a set of 4, shipping is free. So $199 shipped. That's...

HOW TO PERFORM A CLEVIS LIFT

No...conduit nuts are in the electrical department. With all of the electrical conduit boxes, etc. Just look where all of the electrical contractor supplies are.

Question about lift and CV damage

No need to replace the upper arms if you are doing a Rusty's coil lift. 2-1/2" is the limit of the upper a-arms so with the Rusty's kit and and one or two conduit bolts on the clevis, you will be fine. Once you get to 3" lifts, you need to think about replacing a-arms and the like.

Question about lift and CV damage

You are not going to damage your CV boots or more importantly, your CV joints, by running Rusty's lift. The CV are engineered to work at that angle. The problem that you have to look for is upper ball joint contact with the springs. That's why you can't get super crazy with the clevis stuff...

    How Much Clevis Lift

Losing 1.25" seems out of the ordinary. People who have noticed a drop only see a 1/2" normally. If you really lost 1.25", you might want to call Rusty's. Anyway, I have a Rusty's lift and I put 2 conduit nuts on each side. Eyeball measurement is that I have gained about 1/4"-5/16"" with...
