I was looking over the diagrams yesterday, and if your talking about the clutch, I think its an output out of the PCM rather than a relay. None of the TIPM relays are marked as ac clutch and the diagram shows the output coming from (electronics).
I have a 2008 Jeep liberty limited 2wd nothing aftermarket. Battery is draining over night. 3 different people have tested the battery with the handheld test apparatus and it shows good as well as the charging system. I replaced the starter because the auto parts store couldn't test it yet...
well it's back again! Same symptoms as initial post but instrument panel reset all doesn't clear it. May be related to disconnecting battery though not immediate. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about buying a pre-programmed pcm!
I smell freon in the cab of my jeep and I rapidly lose freon if filled. Does anyone have a diagram of the evaporator connection. Initially i thought the only connection was the connector block at the engine compartment firewall but after looking at an evaporator, there has to be another in the...
Use a multimeter to check for continuity on the low pressure switch(freon) if its open then you either have a bad switch or no freon. you may also be mistaking the burnt wire smell for freon.
cabin smells can come from the engine compartment. could be the ac clutch coil burnt out. you could put a meter on the coil control wire to see if voltage is present. (engine running and AC on.) Also you could touch the coil connector with a 12 volt connected wire to see if it pulls in. this...
I have an '08 and have been smelling freon in the cab, when its low it cycles frequently at highway speeds. I'm guessing as the vehicle persists above 1500 rpm or so, the low side pressure is dropping below the min system pressure and cutting out. Get a $30 kit from the autoparts store and...
Update! in the Instrument panel operators display I performed a 'RESET ALL' on the trip computer, MPG etc and the problem cleared. Will have to see if it comes back but so far, after 5 starts its good
Another Clue:
If I remote start the Jeep and shut it off with the remote, the clock doesnt reset.
when i turn the key to OFF, after 5 seconds i hear several relays cycle and something on the engine, I'm guessing the injectors It seems like something is causing a system wide reset which is...
Clock resets 5 seconds after turning switch from ON to OFF regardless if engine is running or not.
When running, it takes about 2 seconds for the engine to stop.
I can literally turn off the engine, remove the key and step out of the jeep before the engine stops then (with key removed) the...
