Thanks all for the replies. It turns out the BCM fuse was blown. It is not slotted the same as the other fuses- it is located in a white carrier. You have to remove that whole carrier and there is a flap that opens up to get the fuse out. Crazy! It also houses a spare fuse.
Problem solved...
Thanks! I greatly appreciate it. Is this the fuse panel under the hood on the left side by the battery? I have yet to dissect it, but I didn't see much of anything there. I was expecting a large square box similar to on the older models. Just making sure there's not another fuse panel...
The problem: I've done some really dumb things in my life, but this one probably takes the cake. I'm almost afraid to admit it- I swapped the negative and positve when jump starting my Jeep. I have built and rebuilt many cars from engine to electricals and I'm a pretty smart guy, but I guess...
I hope you are right. I did bleed the lines on both Jeeps when I did the last job... Properly with a professional bleeder for ABS. I am hoping it is the brakes and not a differential. I'll know this weekend. Still traveling right now.
All new brakes about 6 months ago, as well as tires. Fluids changed regularly regardless of mileage for the exact reasons you mentioned. I am going to check the calipers when I get home. Just thought I would field for possible known issues. I live on a gravel road. Hoping a piece of gravel got...
Hello all. I have a 2006 Liberty with only 8900 miles, and yes that is only eight thousand nine hundred miles. It doesn't get much use. Recently at a light the rear brakes locked up, or I hope it was the brakes. I put a fault reader on it and it said ABS sensor rear wheel. I bought one but did...
Got a new obd2 virtual dashboard for my computer and plugged it up to the Jeep. It's cool but I only got the dashboard since I already have a fault code reader. It's really for my EFI dune buggy but it is good to be able to see data like water temp in real numbers and see everything that's...
I already tried impacting it with 650 foot pounds, broke a breaker bar on it, and again with the impact wrench. I didn't heat it because I was afraid the rim was magnesium. I thought surely cutting a groove with a cutoff tool and then air chiseling it would split it. Instead it just made mash...
So 650 foot pounds would not budge my lug nut off. I can only assume it was cross threaded and over-tightened. It eventually stripped. I had the brilliant idea of trying to split it with an air chisel. So now what? It is stuck- perio. I don't see any way to get to the back of the lug without...
Replaced three window regulators on two of my three Liberty's. The Rock Auto kit is so simple. Plug n play. Now I am waiting on wheel speed sensors to fix the ABS on the 2007.
Good idea. I already ordered them since I have two other Liberty's. I figure I will need them sooner or later. I also ordered a fault code reader for future use.
Good day all,
I tried searching before posting, sorry if this has come up before. I did find some posts on the ABS lights but need more info.
I have a 2007 Liberty. The ABS and ESP lights come on, and the "ESP Off" button doesn't turn it off. The light with the swerving vehicle stays...
