Several folks have had to use threaded inserts until the valve came into the picture. The valve is much easier to use and you never have to thread anthing into the oilpan again. Yes we CRD owners understand thread creep and many other things about the CRD. In the CRD section we are pretty good...

No one has more 100 plus runs than I do, period. I also have the highest recorded GPS run on record at 127mph. I have laps on the Nuerburgring of 11:57 and several slalom runs. So sorry to dis appoint your wife. And my wife also has several runs at 100+ when we lived in Germany.

You can lift full ind suspensions with ease. Some of the best off road vehicles have full ind suspension. The H1 comes to mind.

Aluminium oil pan, steel drain plug means minimum effort to strip the threads from the pan. 25lb-ft only for the drain plug. You can do that with ease by hand. The 3.7 shows to be steel, not aluminum like the CRD.

You mean these crush washers? Yeah some of us don't replace them or keep a dozen or so on hand. Some of us don't keep service records either.
