04 Liberty 3.7L - Need some advice on AC System

True. That could possibly reveal the severity of the leak depending on how long it holds for. What about determining the source of the leak? Would I need to refill the system with refrigerant and get it to a sufficient pressure so that the AC compressor turns on and introduce a UV dye? That...

04 Liberty 3.7L - Need some advice on AC System

Need some advice from some of you guys familiar with AC, which is a pain in the ass, if I do say so myself. Basics -No Cold Air -Compressor does not turn on -It seems there's no pressure at all in the system If I understand correctly, #2 is because of #3. i.e, if the low side pressure...

Amsoil Dual Remote Oil Bypass System

Have you installed it? How many miles do you plan on going between oil changes?

Amsoil Dual Remote Oil Bypass System

If you read the very small fine print on Fram and I assume other oil filter manufacturer's sites, their "high" efficiency rating is rated for contaminants that are larger than 20 microns. As OP stated, AMSOIL's kit is rated at a very high efficiency but that is for 2 microns. Those smaller...

    lifting with ramps

I wanna tune up my lib and have a quick Q. Removing the bolts from the trans pan and difs does not seem feasible without lifting it. Jackstands scare me (at least ones I have used before like HF ones). Does anyone use/recommend ramps to get under their vehicle? They seem safer to me.....

Strange clicking noise in front end

Strange clicking noise in front end

In what gear is your T-case in/been in since the rebuild/new case? If you have been driving around with it in 4WD on paved roads, it is most likely front driveshaft CV that blew up...That happened to me while driving in 4wd on paved surfaces and many other KJ'ers... Just look at it with a...

Strange clicking noise in front end

Yes, X2. This just happened to me. Same noise you describe. Get a towel, blanket or canvas down on the ground near the T case and get under the vehicle and look at the CV joint. I bet its blown. Blown CV will look like this. When you drive in part time 4WD on surfaces that provide lots of...

    Burning Smell from Heating System

Intermittently, I will smell an unpleasant burning smell from the heating system. It basically comes and goes. Its not a sweet smell like eth glyc, it almost smells like burning leaves or burning plastic. No smoke at least none that I have noticed gets blowin into the cabin. Is it normal...

    Something blew up

Right, thanks. You were dead on with that. Shouldn't be a problem to drive as long as its in 2WD right? Of course more dirt and crap will accrue in the bearings but they need replacement already.... Not to be a pest but can you explain the driveline bind regarding the 4WD with adequate...

    Something blew up

Thanks. Ill keep that in mind. Can someone tell me if there was once a boot on the end there and what that piece of metal causing the noise could be?

    Something blew up

Well, I found the problem. ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting The images are of the prop shaft that drives the front axle on the end that closest to the T-case. I assume there was once a boot there? Notice the loose piece of metal sitting...
