So my rear end has been making a whining/whirring noise lately. Took the Libby to the shop and they diagnose it as the pinion bearing and they suggest that I get a brand new rear end. I've been told that it will be significantly cheaper to take it to a transmission shop and let them re-build...
I had this same problem...it would blow lukewarm air when driving and hot air when idling...on occasion the coolant would boil in the overflow reservoir...turns out the fan motor was on the fritz...the mechanic said it was pretty common in libbys
Alright so I'm going to replace a leaky valve cover gasket on the passenger side of my 03 Liberty...Should I go ahead and do both of them or just replace the leaker...im a big fan of the motto if it aint broke dont fix it
recall
I received a letter from Chrysler instructing me to take my Jeep to a local dealership where it would receive a free inspection and if necessary, a trailer hitch would be installed at no charge.
I'm looking to install a toolbox or storage bin (like a contico box) in the back of my Liberty and I'm wondering if anyone has done anything like this before. Ive seen some pretty nifty things done on Wranglers, but haven't seen many Liberty mods. Any suggestions or photos would be appreciated.
