sorry about the 3 thread thing I was just flipping out because I had to work in the morning and needed my jeep to run! I ended up disconnecting my LCA and was able to get everything back together. PITA!!!
unfortunatly the nearest auto parts store is about 6 miles away:( . If I could have walked I would have went and got a spring compressor. Fortunatly I have a buddy on the way who was a mechanic in the army. He just got off work. I have never been this frustrated in my life!! :confused:
I had to disconnect my clevis from my Lower control arm and now im having problems getting them back on. Anybody have any idea how I can get them back on with out a ratchet strap????
I disconnected the clevis and the LCA now Im having a hard time getting back together? The spring is pushing them down to far. Where is the best place to jack it up to be able to get them together to take a little tension off of the spring?
Screw it I give up for now I have the clevis and strut back to stock. I will have to try again sunday. What is the best way to get the clevis and lower control arm back on?
Ive got the driver side tire off, Jack on the frame with two jack stands. I have the clevis bolt disconnected from the top and the bottom. I have the strut where it shoul be at stock level but the clevis wont drop any more??(dunno)
Im trying to do my clevis lift and when I was loosing up the clevis the weight of the spring made the strut go down even further and its resting on the clevis and I cant make it budge. How do I raise the strut to do the lift. any suggestions or pictures would be graetly appreciated(dunno)
All I have is the winch up front. I had a custom front bumper hitch made for it. what about medium springs and spacers. Im just trying to figure a way to get it done right so I dont have to spend a lot of money testing ways. If the HD springs will get the job done I will try that, I just need it...
