So here's the idea.
Some jeeps like the XJ came with an extended idle option which allows you to run a higher RPM in idle when in park or neutral. Seems this was just a dash switch that plugged into the loom.
So for all the winchers and lots of lights lovers out there who get the battery...

I'd love to go for a roof top tent too but then I thought out my logistics and figured I'd rather put my tent in the jeep and my jerry cans on the roof than the other way round.
I got a trailer in the end also.
For sure you should find the cause of the issue before changing anything new. My KJ has two perished bushes on the rear A mount which caused just the symptoms you described. Pulls to one side on acceleration, the other on braking.
A GOOD wheel alignment shop will check the bushes first...
I would check the transfer case and front diff. If you are lucky it could be something as simple as the range selector cable on the transfer case needing adjusting.
And how, after a recent trip to a muddy beach where we all got a little stuck we ended up spending a good hr on the roadside getting dry mud off of the rims after it had hardened to something like concrete. Couldn't go over 30mph until it was all off. Was so bad I thought I'd broken something...
