Thanks for the responses guys. It's definitely a beep and not the lock actuator. My sister's XJ makes that noise very pronounced so I've heard what you're talking about it. Haha no. I've been alone every time. It did it again today. I had put the thing in reverse and then decided to dig a CD out. I've owned my KJ for about 6 months now. About a total of 3 times I have noticed a beep while in reverse (like a piece of heavy equipment or a school bus). Synthetic oil
Never heard that at all. I use synthetic in my stroker engine and will in the turbo motor I just built. Both are hydraulic roller. I'm not too worried.- dhdenney

Check the bottle. It carries both specs. The additive package is stronger because of diesel engines which is a plus to me. The anatomy of an engine is the same (basically), gas or diesel.
