I drive this beast for work (closing in on 310k), drove just south of the Napa/Sonoma fires here in NorCal. Got home Still stinks of smoke. Feebreeze anyone?
Question for you folks that have roof baskets. I see in pics that you have "flush" mounted baskets along the rails. My Reny's Yakima mounts/rails are at leat 3 inches high, and the basket then sits on that. What do you folks use? Thanks!
Has anyone here ever replaced the oem Hella top bumper fogs with anything else? If I could find something that I can use the same mounting bolt, and just solder into the 2 wires of the old lights I'd give it a shot.
Slow time of year at work, so I loaded the battle wagon with my mountain...

300K today! Thanks to all the motivation here, I won't go into all the engine, brakes, and suspension work I've done..also just started to do all the control arms and tie rods etc. PlastiDipped the rims and the stealth look is pretty much done.
ALSO...I have an OEM roof basket...
Thanks Tom, you confirmed what I thought. I think I'll stick to my standard rack and pass this one along, ya know, this "funky roof contraption thingy"!
..I got a hold of one of these funky looking roof baskets. It came off a Renegade, but doesn't seem to fit my 06. Any tips for mounting this thing, or does it just not fit 06's? Thanks for any tips.
I have Yakima feet and rails, and a generic metal box, but it sits so high up, I...
Just going to throw my experience here, my 06 throws a check engine light with code for "improbable amount of gas" 1411. It would go away eventually, now I have a code checker to erase it ($15 on ebay). I've always had an issue with fueling at certain pumps, the "lock" keeps popping off...
My hood was oxidized and nasty, finally tossed this on the center. I had enough to do the whole hood, but my big giant brain thought i'd just do just the center panel.
After a few months of difficulty starting, it barely worked this afternoon. I had replaced the ignition switch actuator last spring, so I assumed something was up with it and sure enough, I had installed the gold metal spring loaded thingy on the wrong side of the white plunger (if you've done...
Properly seated my white gauge covers, didn't notice they were off until the darker mornings. Also put a new "lens" on it, my old one had some kind of growth on the inside that couldn't be cleaned. Still looking for led's that work, I've tried a few sizes but none mount properly.
One last mention...... when cutting the headliner, go as little as possible. As someone mentioned here, it's always better to cut a little at a time. I started with the dome light area, and worked my way back. I only used a utility blade. Be aware, the wires for the passenger visor vanity...
So I finally have my install solved, a Renny 06 that already had the temp sensor installed. I found a 56010520AD which worked, it had the tpm warning on startup and homelink.
But thanks to a member here, FatElvis (Jari), who graciously sent me a unit and then waited for payment after I knew...
