Where did you purchase the cam shaft. Holding tool? How do you get the gear off of the cam shaft? I took the bolt out and there is a funky looking washer or nut against the gear.

I am new to the Jeep Liberty world. I have been looking at several of the compact SUV's on the market and have gravitated to the Liberty. So here I am. I am looking for a mid 2000 era Liberty as I am on a tight budget.

I am looking at converting a 2005 kj 2wd to a 4wd using a donor 2006 liberty that was rolled. Has anyone attempted this? If so what kind of issues did you have? Can it even be done?
