New head unit
I have the Kenwood KDC-X996 head unit and all of the plugs come out of the back and their is no connections visible on the front of the head unit. Have all of the cables coming out and down the center console and everything is mounted in the center console box.- adclem

Can you buy stereos which you can store mp3 files on?
With the newer after market head units you can use Android phones, iPhones, iPods, flash drives etc.. to play your music through your car stereo. Things just keep getting easier.- adclem

Any aftermarket radio that will work with steering wheel controls?
My Kenwood Excelon KDC-X996 along with the PAC SWI-RC and my steering wheel controls work perfectly with this setup. Also with this ready you can stream your music to the head unit via blue tooth or you can connect it via USB. You can play music off of your phones SD Card or stream Pandora...- adclem
