    Odd tailgate function

But that wouldn’t have changed just changing the latch right? It should be stored in the computer I’d think.

    Odd tailgate function

Yes I do have a tailgate button on the fob. So apparently the glass MUST be open for the gate to unlock, and I have to press the unlock button or the tailgate button twice AFTER the window is popped open for the gate to unlock. This is different than it was before, any ideas?

    Odd tailgate function

Actually I dunno, I’m in my other truck at the moment- I can check tomorrow. I’ve never used it if it is present- just because it unlocked with the passenger doors on the second unlock in the past. It is the typical 2003 remote though.

    Odd tailgate function

I just replaced the tailgate actuator due to the tailgate hit not opening. Anyways, after replacing I have to press unlock 3 times for the tailgate to unlock. 1st press the drivers door, 2nd is the passenger doors, then the 3rd unlocks the tailgate. The window will open after the 2nd though...

Lift faq: Read before asking questions!

So I did something a bit different with the rear bump stops/jounce bumpers . Being in Texas hockey pucks aren't that common :happy175:and I hadn't purchased them before doing my lift. I installed a OME 2.5" lift. I figured it would take more work to remove the springs and drill out the pad than...

    Smartphone shot of the day

Working on the rear bumpstops. I know it turned the pic sideways, that's the kind of randomness you get when you ask for smartphone pics though!

Cruise control differences between 03 and 04 if any

I believe the radio controls go on the backside of the wheel, there are little plastic inserts back there. My dodge has the same configuration of cruise on the front and radio on the back.

Need a GOOD fix for the rear joint on the front drive shaft? 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD S

Have you checked your motor mounts and transmission mount? My s10 when it was stock had the same style front driveshaft and I was constantly blowing out the cv joint on the tcase side when others weren't having issues. Come to find out all three mounts were bad, causing too much movement and...

    245/70r16s Fit on Stock Rim

Seriously, go somewhere else. The 75 to 70 is the sidewall height (a percentage based on the width), not the tread width. Wouldn't effect rim fitment. I don't think your suspension will handle the 245/70's stock though. Rims won't be an issue. The problem is Walmart as stated above.

Bad AC compressor clutch and/or bearing? (w/ videos)

No prob. I wish I could remember more specifics for installation though. I remember needing feeler gauges to set up the clutch though.

Bad AC compressor clutch and/or bearing? (w/ videos)

I used that exact kit 40k miles ago, installation was pretty straight forward, the instructions were informative but had misspellings and bad punctuation. My compressor looked and sounded just like that, but came all the way apart. Everything has been working great since, no complaints.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Installed OME lift with 927/948 coils and the sport shocks/struts. No spacers or anything just the springs. Still have the 235/70/16 Michelin street tires though :-/... Will be running them a while longer due to money and tread left. Looks a little funny but rides 20x better. Overall very...

    06 Towing Question Liberty sport?

You can also pull the spare tire mount off and rotate upside down (180*) and remount to gain a little bit more clearance for the trailer too.
