Was trying to swap the heater hoses around on the heater core. Those hoses are STUCK hard! I used a hook, tried to twist, nothing would give. I was thinking, has anyone used a hose joiner, cu the hoses about 20" from the firewall and join with the brass joiners? Seems like the only option I have as I don't want to damage the core (Unless I already have!)

Also, that bleed plug ast the upper radiator hose was frozen in. However, I heated with a small torch and melted some crayon wax in the threads. Once that was done, it did break free easily.

I had to cut about an inch or two off the heater core hoses because they were stuck so bad I couldn’t get them off. The hoses are long enough so that if they lose a couple of inches you can still plug them in.

Thank you! I would rather do that than cutting in the middle. OK, back at it tommorow!

Our 2009 KK had its heater hoses stuck to the connections as well. I used the larger hose grip tool (see link below) and grabbed the hose right at the connection and gave it a twist. It easily did the trick. Don't try and use regular pliers as you could crush or damage the heater core connection.

I have those and used them for gas hoses once. Will have to try them out.
