P1745 code

I just got this code all of a sudden, Now I did get my rear main seal replaced and went to Dodge to confirm the fluid level.

Now I called Dodge and they said something about wiping the variable counter whatever that means.

Has anyone ran into this before?

Interesting, that one is not even listed in the the generic code list. Call them back and ask for a better diagnostic description ! ;)
From what I can see online, it relates to the transmission, jeep line pressure too high for too long.
Or has been operating in an open-loop line pressure for 2000 miles or 1000 2-3 up-shifts resulting from a Line Pressure DTC

It's currently at dodge now. When I made my rear main seal done the connector was loose causing some issues. Got it plugged back in, code for that was still showing up. Now my guess is that code turned into the P1745 code that I'm currently getting.

Hopefully they inspect connector, clear code & see if it comes back.
Otherwise it could be a matter of new pig tail /connector.
With a pro scan, there may be other pending codes?

Unsure of more codes since my scanner only picked up the one code.
I haven't heard back yet from them.

Just got it back from dodge and $130 later....Damn stealerships. There was another code that I now can't remember what it is.

They want me to buy a harness just so they can take a plastic connector off of it to wire it into my harness.

Harness is $130 + 2 hours of labour + tax = Around $400. I'm able to buy the connector off of rock auto for about $85 which saves me $305 which isn't bad. The part comes with the connector and new wires to tie into the existing harness. I have a friend whos an HD mechanic who will be able to help out and will only cost me beer which I believe is the better deal.

The connector is 68032364AA you can not buy just the connector from Dodge, don't bother going to a u-pick you'll just break it. Trust me I broke 2 when doing this.

Good to hear you can save by purchasing the harness & have your mechanic friend install the harness for you.
My jeep has not seen a stealership in many years. I try to do the work myself where ever possible.

The other code is P0935: Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit High.

We worked on it for about 4 hours last night. We replaced all fuses to do with the ECM/TCM/Power terrain. Replaced the TCM relay.
Made sure that the Transmission transducer (This is what dodge called it) connector was fully plugged in. Did some zip tie magic to make sure it was held down and wouldn't slip out.

Today we're dropping everything to get a better look at the connector on the trans. Doing some continuity checks to see if it's possibly a bad ground. If so cutting out where it is bad and sodering a new wire in. Going to check for bent pins on all of the connectors as well since the trans will be low enough to check all of the connectors instead of the harness side of things.

OK looking at the schematic from the Lost Post here is what I would check.

I can only get a blurred version of this page which shows the "Assembly Variable Line Pressure" And PCM so the connector at the top appears to be C106 or C108 and has a Yellow/Orange wire coming out and splitting into three Yellow/Orange Wires at Splice #136?

I would disconnect this connector at the top, disconnect the plug on the Assembly Variable Line Pressure and disconnect plug C4 on the PCM.

This would mean that these three Yellow/Orange wires are floating in free air. I would then check if these wires have any continuity to ground...should not have any continuity!

Then with connectors C1, C2 and C4 on the PCM disconnected and the "Assembly Variable Line Pressure" still disconnected I would check the Dark Green wire, the Yellow Brown? wire, the Yellow/Pink wire and the Dark Blue/Dark Green? wires likewise for any leakage to ground.

These last two wires go to splices somewhere ie. Splice #128? and Slice #138? so if you have the logics you need to find what other components these Splices are connecting to as these will compromise any reading you get from these wires to ground!

If any of these wires are leaking to ground and you cannot find the physical damage you will need to cut the wires off at all ends and replace them with new wires!

I will try find this diagram on the Lost site so that I can come back and hopefully clear up the blurred numbers I am seeing!:(

Nope...original diagram from this post on Lost is still blurred to me and I do not have 2008 Manuals:confused:

Just an update.

We found that the automatic transmission connector was full of dirt, We cleared it all out and - no luck.

We found that the solenoid connector may be missing some pins https://atracom.blob.core.windows.net/manuals/individual/2011/2011-182.pdf
Pin 7 seems to not be there at all which is a pin we though we broke off. But looking at the connector it seems like it's mission contacts on the connector itself from the harness. Does anyone know what this connector is or where to source it?

Do you have other Wiring Diagrams for your Jeep?

Should show you what the connector is used for and give the wiring colors for the wires on the pins on the wiring harness.

I will have a look for diagrams for the 42RLE!

But Pin #7 seems like it is not supposed to be there according to your atracom.blob link!:confused:

The issue is resolved. They have to factory reset my TCM due to the line pressure being to high and the sensor not communicating with the TCM. This has resolved the issue with my limp mode. Able to cycle through all 4 gears with no issues at all.
