Can i drive without a front drive shaft?

So i found out the front driveshaft in my liberty is shot, causing alot of drivetrain vibrations. Can i remove the front driveshaft and keep driving in 2 wheel drive until i can get it repaired?

EDIT : Its an 07 liberty with a 231J part time 4WD case.

Yes you can remove it & keep driving.

Thanks man! Definitely gonna look into rebuilding it myself. I just wanted to know if it was safe to remove it and continue driving.

Well now I’ve run into another issue. The driveshaft leaks when I pulled the bolts out. Seems to be diff fluid. So I don’t think I can drive without it.

I just left it in the jeep for now

Remove it, no way it can leak, they all have some oily looking stuff the first time you pull them, no worries
