Rattling noise on Passenger's tire side when driving but more when braking

This morning I took both front tires off to inspect the brakes and rotors and they seemed fine.

I first heard this rattling noise a few weeks ago and then it disappeared on its own. Now it's back and it is more obvious when I am braking and it will make a rattling noise. Sometimes there is no noise and other times it's there. Also while driving I hear a lower sounding rattling noise coming from the same area, front passenger wheel.

I don't know what it could be, any suggestions?

If it is not the brakes, could it be rattling as in sounds like rocks in a coffee can?- CV?
Heat Shield maybe?

I wonder if it could be the front sway bar end links?
Take a good look for cracks or not being tightened properly.
If they do need changing , fully tighten them once it is on the ground.

Ah thank you so much for that detailed graphic. It does sound like rocks in a coffee can at times, and I was driving it yesterday with no hint of sounds until 30 minutes later it started again.

It drives me nuts wondering what it could be so I'll definitely check the front sway bar end links.

Sure check the sway bar end links but...Rocks in coffee can= Constant Velosity Drive shaft (CV) when it warms up and lack of grease.
Where "Can" is shown check for up & down movement. You may hear it make contact with interior cv knuckle inside the can, if it's loose/lack of grease.
Inspect boots for cracks. If there is a lack of grease in the can or from boots, you my have found the culprit.

Mine was same noise as your describing it was sway bar bushing

Sway bar bushings normally show themselves during colder weather
They will, most times, sound like Grandma and Grandpa getting it on in an old iron bed frame with the old style springs
