It’s got no bus issue
Torn out cv on prop shaft
But seems to drive will in 2wd only 70k on the clock picked it up for £450 so can’t really go wrong

The early KJs use a PCI Bus which is difficult to get readers for.
Later KJs started using mainly CAN Bus with some PCI and SCSI included.

My 2002 Export CRD has only PCI Bus. I drove into the Local Bosch Dealership and asked if they could pull the codes from my Bosch ECM....they took one look at it and shook their heads!

So I think you will need to take it to your Jeep Dealership see what is going on.

What color is it? Good shape no rust?

Yes it’s black no rust in really good condition the guy I got it from was freaked by the cost the main dealer quoted to fix it but as it runs I can do the work as I go

A good site for our early Export KJs is the Aussie site at www.ausjeepoffroad.com as they have RHD KJs like I do and there are a few differences to the USA models. Lots of KJ owners there who can help you with any questions.
