Could I be leaking fuel?

So last week, I ran over a dead yearling on the road. All I heard was a thump, and in parking on blacktop that I inspected before hand, or my designated parking spot, there are no unusual /out of place leaks spotted when I pullout.

Put I swear my gas gauge has been dropping more than usual. Is it possible the deer hit something that is only leaking when the jeep is running and thus I'm not able to smell raw gas, as it's being blown away, or is it in my head?

Any Gasoline leaks are generally very noticeable by the fumes.
I would recommend that you have a whiff around the jeep when it is completely full, and after driving a short distance to check for any fumes.
I wonder if it is possible that the fuel sending unit may have been jarred/bent somehow & it's not reading steadily or correctly anymore...??
Have you had it up on lift to inspect for any damage yet?

I pumped gas for a number of years, and unless it's sitting in a bowl in front of me, I don't really smell it anymore. The only smell I seem to get off her is hot oil around the engine area after I took her to the laundromat and back home tonight.

I wanted to go somewhere and put it on a lift, but my friends/family convinced me that it's all in my head and if there is no fluids on the ground, then I'm not leaking anything. I looked underneath after the deer strike, and didn't see any damage to the skid plates or anything. I'm due for a oil change in the next week or two, so I guess I'll ask them to check as well as walk underneath with my light while they have it on the lift.
