Hi all just got a 2008 jeep liberty about 6 weeks ago
it has 178000 k

Got a few things done oil change had a bad front wheel baring replaced
a new fan belt and pulley new tires a wheel alignment
and got a full inspection

So i work out of town and drive back and forth every week
and before i got the tune up done from a jeep service department

it took a tad more then a quarter tank now it takes a half tank of gas

i'm so pissed all the repairs i got done at the jeep dealer but it seem every time i get them to fix something something ells goes wrong

i took it back and asked why does it burn so much gas now they said the tune up has nothing to do with it kind of funny this happen right after

And before the tune up the jeep rpm idle at 700 rpm's now it like 1300 rpm's

thank in advance for any info

Do you have receipts of what all they did?

Dealers are a luck of the draw. My local one *****. They've messed up a bunch of stuff on my KL.

Where did you get a tune up done at?

Nothing you listed is "tune up" items which for a KK is spark plugs.

Most likely the new tires are to blame or weather conditions.

I got the tune up done at the jeep service department i had all the work on my jeep there.

IT says on my bill they installed new spark plugs and cleaned the throtal body and
installed ccc what ever that is as well installed fuel injector cleaner

Should not be idling at 1300 rpm take it back.
Something's wrong after throttle body was cleaned or off -it's not right!
Dealerships like it when they can ask you to..
