Hi all,

Is anyone experiencing some play with their rear view mirror?

the ball joint goes into this white plastic insert within the mirror and my mirror has some play around this white plastic insert. No movement around location of where the ball joint mates with this white plastic insert.

Anyone know a fix to it?

I'd imagine I have to pry the mirror apart to see what's going on with that white plastic insert.

Thanks.

My rear view mirror is tight as a drum. Is yours the non automatic, click down to darken?
How bad is the play in the mirror? Does it flop around/ not hold position anymore?
Otherwise it may be time for a new one, even upgrade it.

I have the autodim.

There is rotational play.
I think I have to pry it open to tighten down the screw.

I found this YT vid that looks exactly the same as my rear view mirror
