The KJ, not me. :happy175: Got it fully rebuilt.
They took out the stock cooler and put this one, they said it'll keep it a lot cooler.

I'm thinking that's an aluminum pan. They also installed a shift correction kit and replaced the cooler lines. Feels like a new Jeep.

I don't recognize any of those parts. What kind of witchcraft does your jeep have?

Allen transmission in La Crosse, WI. Cost about $3k, ended up needing some new wiring too.

Not sure, they want to see it in the next 500 miles for a checkup so I can ask then!

That looks awesome - especially that new cooler. I'll be curious to know details about it as well.

Great they want you back for a 500 mile checkup - that would give me confidence they want to make sure things are right. Sorry for the expense but happy you have a new KJ :waytogo:

The KJ hasn't required any other major things in the nearly 10 years I've had it, so I guess it was time.

Yeah, they seemed to do a really nice job and paid a lot of attention to it.

Allen Transmission has a really good reputation. They are always the shop that is suggested by car guys I the area.
They do good work on cars...but I wish they would get some less annoying commercials:blah:

I haven't heard one of their commercials in awhile lol. But yeah, they're painful.

I don't even recognize that as a Jeep transmission! Is that what all of our trucks looked like new!? lol.

I'm not entirely convinced that there is any single part or repair that can't be replaced or performed on most Jeeps that won't keep them on the road.

rusted out or cracked frame? Weld it back together... rotted body panels? Cut it out and weld in a new one/patch it up. rear axle, transmission, engine, wiring harness, t-case, all replaceable.

I guess it depends on at what point the amount spent could have gotten you a new(er) truck.

In this case, seems like money well spent indeed!
