Stock 03' KJ driver seat is killing my back.
Passenger complained as well.

Any recommendations on compatible replacements without breaking the bank?

Thanks!

Whats that? the electric leather ones?
Is it interchangeable will I be able to hook the electrics up?

I must stay with cloth option as rear is cloth, it'll look bad

They are actually just covers. They look very nice. I re did the entire interior of my Libby so I like to protect it

Not the mountains.
I've looked for better front seats but haven't found an affordable option yet. Those floor mats pictured above are weathertech. I have a set also. Love em. My lower back hurts a bit after 2 hours in the seat on the highway. I'd go with some corbeau's or the ones out of the SRT-8 but damn they are pricey.

Did those help a little or a lot over the sport seats?

Quite a bit actually
better back support etc ,plus can raise/lower / tilt for better comfort
But never had that much issue with my 04 Seats. Used to drive Northwest Ohio to Boston every two weeks, 11 hour drive and never complained.
But yes thinking back these are better and to think I had them sitting in the garage for over a year before John talked or shamed me into installing them :icon_lol:

If lumbar support is the issue, sometimes I roll up a towel (or a have way done roll of paper towels) and put that behind my lower back for longer trips. It helps.

I also think 05+ seats have different cushioning too, and most of the time, the seats are pretty comfortable. The "leather" is a bit prone to peeling on the bolster.

I did the same as Tom - put light gray leather in my Renegade. The comfort level definitely went up for me. I think it's from the ability to adjust the seat bottom angle plus the seat back.

Had back surgery in the Fall so now I'd like to upgrade the seats to something else to improve the comfort even more - I spend a lot of time in the KJ. But still, the leather seats are a definite improvement over the Sport or Renegade seats.

Does the sport model even has a socket underneath the tracks for the power connection or you had to go through some special custom alteration?

If so can you please explain? Looking forward to install limited leather seats in my sport too (hopefully without help).

Glad my 05 KJ is a Limited - came with leather, power and heated. On a quick run to the store on a very cold day, the seat gets me warm before the heater even starts to blow warm air. And those hours-long trips that add so many miles to the odometer, it's comfortable from beginning to end, sometimes I'll even nap in the Jeep on the way home.

Do a search in the How-To section - there's a long but very thorough description of what you need to do to get the power working on a KJ that didn't come with power seats. In my swap the most challenging part was figuring out the wiring for the heating element - the power is pretty straightforward.
