Swapped out front tweeters on 02 Liberty. After reconnecting speakers and battery display on radio no longer displays. Any ideas if there is a way to get the display back or if I need to swap radio as well. Radio works but unable to see any stations, time... Any help would be great, need to have fixed before daughter gets back for Christmas break.

Did you remove the radio head at all, or did you just replace the upper dash speakers?
Can't remember if the stock radio was effected by the the interior / cluster light brightness but..
Have you adjusted interior lights to bright on the turn signal stalk?

My stock radio is affected by the dimmer control on the left stalk...turn it in one direction to dim the the cluster lights and my radio display is dead!

No luck. Everything is lit except the time\station display.

There are two fuse to the radio, (fuse 34 15 A) and (fuse 32 10 A) on the internal fuse panel.

Could still be the multifunction switch or bad wiring to the BCM.

You can download the Service Manual for your model KJ here...includes circuit diagrams:

Here is the 8A section "Audio" from the link to the manuals I posted above:

Check the connectors, fuses and radio ground as mentioned and then if needed climb into the circuit diagram for the radio to trace for battery voltage at the radio connector.

Try jiggling the key a little, my Ram does this. The display will disappear while it's playing in accessory position, I mess with they key and it pops back up.

None of the these worked. Did not remove any part of radio, only replaced front tweeters. Prior to replacement everything was working except replaced tweeter.

Then I don't know, usually when all else fails i give it a good WHACK with my palm of my open right hand!

Not saying that's what you should do of course, just what I would do.:ROFLJest:

Useless post from me, just a little comic relief.

Good luck to you.

try swapping in the factory tweeters and see what happens.
then you know if it is the tweeters themselves that are incompatible with the radio for some reason, or if something else is going on.
