I've been researching trans fluid coolers and have come across a few places that mention engine oil coolers. I do a lot of hard driving in my jeep. I deliver mail out of it, lots and lots of low speed, stop and go, idling. I was wondering if anyone can help with a suggestion as to wether or not this is an option for a KJ. If so would it help in this application? If it is something that can be done and it would be helpful, how would a person go about to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you really really want one, you might be able to adapt one from a police model hemi Charger.

Thanks for that info. I was really just wondering if anyone else had done one and would it be helpful. I'm guessing not.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
I would like to see some one put one on a kj, it would have benefits for those who off road alot.

And to those who tow!
No real benefit in a KJ with a gas engine.Does not have a tow rating high enough to warrant one and a properly operating cooling system is more then enough to keep the engine cool even offroad.

Plus to have any positive effect you'd need to install a high volume oil pump since you'd loose a lot of psi due to a cooler(same goes for remote filter setups).Don't want a high pressure pump, just a high volume pump.
