NSG370 or NV3550 in plase of my 42RLE

Ok so I can't seem to fined any good info on doing an auto to manual in a 3.7L. I have a 2004 with the 42RLE and would really like a manual trans again. Is it even posuble to do the flip, what kind of wiring needs to be changed and how would the computer hangle it (reprograming im asuming)? I know the NSG370 wasn't in the kj untell 06 but engine/bell housing shouldn't have changed. The NV3550 seems to be the direct line up for year. I'm just now starting to search and look into this, so any help would be great. Thanks!

I thought about doing it for a camaro I once had but after all the headaches it would have been with the little stuff I decided it would be best to sell it and get a manual one. It would've cost me more than the car was worth. Think little things like center console, pedals, all the stuff that adds up.

That is the correct answer.

You'd basically have to transplant the whole manual drivetrain from a donor vehicle along with the PCM(for the manual),BCM,and all the wiring.You could not use the 242 select trac t-case either,it would have to be the command trac t-case.

Thank you for your reply! I under stand that selling it and getting an other with the drive train Im after would posubly be the smartest way to go about it, but at this time I can't really go that way. Not to add but with all the time I have put into the one I have with all the mods and work I dont think I could sell it for as much an other one would cost me (also 140k on the clock). I know I could just trade over every thing from one to the other but there are some thing I cant easily un do (like fender trimming, audio and trail use (minor damage)....
But down to the details, I would just like to learn as much as I can and start a parts list for the mean time. I have a 231 Tcase so I don't think I will need to change that out. Are there any one doing PCM, BCM reprogrammed like they are for the TJs and JKs?
