Let me introduce myself 1st. I just bought an '07 Liberty about a week ago. 37*** miles. Awesome. Decided to install a Pioneer Aftermarket deck in it tonight. Easy. Ive done it b4, just not in any of my jeeps. I got all the wires hooked up into it and turned it on. It worked. so I started to mount it inside of the dash and b4 i put the trim back on, it didnt work. so i fumbled with the wires and still nothing. I was gonna call it a night and work on it tomorrow when i realized my overhead lights wouldnt turn on. I then unlocked the doors, but then they wouldnt lock again. My keyless entry doesnt work now and im about to freak out.

1. What did I do wrong?

2. Did I blow a fuse?

3. Is it some sort of built in security measure?

I would like to figure it out myself, but its dark, cold, and raining outside and i dont wanna take it to the dealer for them to charge a ridiculous amount of money to just say "Hey stupid, you unplugged this wire!"

Any suggestions/help???

check all your fuses.. you more than likely crossed a wire or two or touched it somewhere it shouldn't have touched. make sure those wires are completely covered in electrical tape or something specifically made to connect two spliced wires!

you should have more than 1 fuse panel too. You have a box under the hood and a panel on the driver side of the dash as you open the door.. you might have one on the passenger side too- not sure.

your fuse locations and lables should be printed on a sticker on the reverse side of the panel that you pull off the box

No offense but why in the hell do people still install stereos by splicing into the damn factory harness it just down right ****** me off! chairshot.gif okay now that I'm calmed down Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Clarion, and many more Now are plug and play it's called go down to the local walmart/target/best buy/frys and get a Chrysler harness *You mean they make those?!!:eek:* Yes they do make them and they are much better than cutting the factory harness for someone else to deal with when you sell it.

So moral of the story NEXT TIME USE A PLUG N PLAY! and Secondly CHECK YOUR GROUND! :D:D:D

Eh you people and your thinking...It doesn't show a Plug and Play Harness for our jeeps because it's Listed as 84 and up Chrysler... If you have a specific harness though that you directly need from them call them and tell them what you need! I got my harness ready to go out of the box for my pioneer for $20 with shipping...

willy,

for your manual.. check above the glove box after you open it... there is a little pocket that if you didn't know about it... you wouldn't know its there. The Jeep manual is in an OD Green pouch... you may be over looking it.
