We drove our '07 to Crown King and within 5mi. of Crown King, saw a huge peach tree in the mtns and took a pic.

It drove pretty nicely (26k on it now.) I wonder if the front springs are enough, since it seemed to nail the front bump stops on a few bumps. The shocks seem okay, but it did rattle sideways a bit on the heavily washboarded areas.

I don't know that we absolutely needed to use 4hi but did so on the last leg of the way up, past CK, and on the early part of the way down. Worked fine.

I patched a flat (nail in the LF tire) when we got back.

I told my spouse that the internals of the tailgate that work themselves free will need the weld-fix (I saw on here) after that much touristy washboard driving. :p

I find the lift kit information interesting. I've done an amount of transmission swaps, chassis work (lowered cars for handling) and other stuff.

I'm already addicted to automotive stuff. Our other 4x4 is a-arms / torsion bars and leafs in the back.

I just have to be certain the chassis stuff I choose down the road is the right stuff. OME is looking good for the 07, but the more I read, the more I want to do some custom parts.

Very nice. I've done the CK trip on an ATV, but never made it all the way there due to either flat tires or bad weather on all three attempts. Mine has also developed the rear gate rattle from the desert washboard roads. It appears that you took the route from I-17 and not the backway from Lake Pleasant?

Correct; from Bumble Bee. How rough is the Lake Pleaseant route to CK? Still on stock Goodyear Wranglers here. ;)

AwwwKJ.....I also got a couple of flats with my goodyear wranglers on dirt that I patched. They didn't like sharp rocks, mudd, snow or even wet blacktop. Replaced them with A/T's and it feels like a whole different jeep. Get some A/T's and run those roads again and you will see the difference..

I thought the Michelin LTX on a friends full-size pickup always did well on and off-road so that may bet what I end up with; at least to replace the plugged tire. I'm definitely planning ahead.
