Cold temperature shifting. Below 30 degrees and the vehicle cold, will almost stop when shifting between 2 & 3. There is a TSB on the problem. My dealer could not duplicate , so there is no problem.

Day one-the right front door lock didnt work off the remote.Took it on the highway and the tires almost shook me out of the Jeep.Later on, all 4 tires replaced under warranty. Then had TSB on ******,plus two for the A/C.So far not happy with the KK.Plus it ***** up to much gas.Chrysler should have done better.

I dont care if its a brick, better engineering will get you better MPGs.I have suggestions such as 6 speed auto, plus a MDS,which will be a options on the new Gen liberty with the 3.6.I forgot to add that my wife was out with the KK ,and had a no start(WCM) no one had the part ,5 days later get the KK back.Poor management and can see why Chrysler in trouble, they are building 80s vehicles.way behind the times.I have been a MOPAR man for 39 years and Chrysler is a dissapointment to me.I wish I never bought the outdated KK.

so my question is, you think just the KK is outdated, or based on part of your comment all of Chrysler is so there fore it doesn't make sense why you continue to buy Mopar if you complain about it so much

First of all how was I suppose to know what junk the KK was if I didnt own one.Second why is there a engine thats outdated as well, as the ******.Why do you think Chrysler probably will go bankrupt?I have a 06 Charger that I like, but that has a outdated engine, and a old Mercedes platform from the 90s.
I worked on Mopars for 25 years and see the differance in their product.Chrysler needs to change fast or they are out of here.I think right now Ford is the only company thats getting into the 21st century.Like I said before I been with Mopars for 39 years so I think I can judge when they are not keeping up with the times.

If it ain't broken why fix it? The 3.7 is a fairly new engine platform(shared with the 4.7) which is only 10 years old, look how long Ford 302's and Chevy 5.7's where around before they where axed, along with the 4.0 I-6 for Jeeps. The 3.7 is a good engine and with good maintenance should last to 200,000miles+ ,a little underpowered for the KJ/KK but due to crash ratings the 4.7 is out.The trans I agree, the worst thing was putting the 42RLE in anything. Why a 6 speed auto? That would just drive the price up and would gain no mpg's,also MDS is a nightmare and 2mpg's is not worth the problems in the loing run,GM tried it and failed with that crap. The KK is not a high line model, the Grands are for that,it's more of a mid line vehicle so what do you expect? The only 2 vehicles that are really in the KK's class(not including FWD with RWD assist car based SUV's) is the LR3 and the H3 and they are far worse in every catigory then the KK and cost more.

By the way what's a WCM? There is no such thing.

First of all I cant believe you said there is no such thing as a WCM.First of all there is a TSB for the WCM,its on most 08 KK so theirs could go anytime like mine did. What the problem is that you turn the key and there is no reaction to anything. There is no starter kicking in,its like there is no battery.Plus none of the remotes work, doors, locks.Thats what happens when the WCM goes.Any engine that has 90s technology in a 21st century world gotta go.There is no excuse for what class its in.All vehicles need to get better MPGs then they get know.Thats why they are in trouble.I was in the business to long to knew if something is decent or not.Chrysler have good plans,I hope its not to late. Its something that should have done years ago, along with GM,Ford.

Otherwise called the SKIM,sentry key immobilizer module, and is located in the steering column. There is no WCM, and there is no SKREEM either.Beat if I put down your flux capacitor went bad you'd believe since it's on a repair order so it must be true.

Bet the part# was one of these............

05026071AN
05026072AN
05026074AN
05026800AA

And it is labeled in the '08KK OEM parts book as the Receiver, control module.

All the auto companies do this stuff. AS said, the 3.7 is a newer engine, it is the 4.7 V8 block, with 2 less cylinders, but still has almost all the weight.

I was told the transmissions (AUTO) were redesigned by Mercedes, so they are supposed to be a GOOD transmission. I don't think they are any more superior than what they had. I had an A604, it lasted 145k miles with absolutely NO problems, with a COOLER installed, but still...

Chrysler doesn't have any Hyrbids, so that makes them archaic? They all wear out a platform, like the Patriot, which is just another way to squeeze in a JEEP for people to buy. There is no need for the Patriot with the Caliber still in production, but, that's what they do. The Patriot also has the CVT option, the Liberty did not, why? Who knows, but that is more modern than what the liberty has. Maybe the CVT just isn't a good choice for the liberty.

All the major motor companies are on the brink of bankruptcy, not juct Chrysler. They have gotten bail-out moonies, and STILL it;s not working, gee-****, no one saw that coming? However, no worries right? You're kid's kids, will be paying for it, so we can all sit back and relax till we die.

You go with what WORKS. Dodge and Chrysler have put out more cars, from the assembly line, that beat the pants off the other domestic makers, time and time again. They were the first to break the 200Mph barrier, and the Viper set in motion all the other companies to push out a high HP car. None of the other domestic companies had a car that could beat the viper for years... The Vette had to be beefed up, and ford hat to make their high performance car, then the GT500KR mustang... All the others made their cars in response to Chrysler, which was also the first minivan. Pointaic is one of the GM companies that doesn't have a 500+ HP vehicle.

Still, Dodge answered back with the 600+HP Viper, and the only reason it's at 600, is because of emissions control systems. However, with those removed, it gets 680hp. Ford's GT90 concept, was a quad-turbo V12, at 720HP. Would not pass emissions...

Ford cheated with their other high end performance car. Any car company that makes a model produced, that is under 500 cars a year, is emissions exempt. So, you can't get it, not because of so many people wanting them, it's to cheat the federal emissions laws, because with emissions control systems on them, would put them under 600HP. So, they only make 499 a year...

Chrysler has ALWAYS had a muscle car, all the others were simply followers.

Notice something about the parts #'s? Okay I looked it up and they started calling in a wireless control module when it is listed as a reciever, control module, they changed the name in late '08 to seperate it from the RKE problems.

Basicly everything you talk about is about power, who has the most horsepower. What do you think what got us into the mess we are in?As for as the 4.7,3.7 being a new engine, its a new engine with old technology.single overhead cam with only 12 valves. You cant get more 80s then that.Thank God Chrysler maybe if they survive, with throw out all those junk engines and will come out with more updated engines the Phoenix engines, with more power, but with better MPGs then current engines. As far as the 42rle,that came out in 88,its the same ****** as what was called ultra drive.
