KK reliability?

I've been slightly, kinda, maybe been looking around for a spare Jeep.

Seen a couple decently priced KK's on marketplace and have me wondering. I'm thinking as a spare vehicle for Postal use and would do Postal Conversion on it most likely.

So far I don't have any experience with the KK. BUT I have had a couple KJ's and currently have a KJ as my primary.

Looks like they have a similar engine/drivetrain? Also looks like the suspension is a bit different in the back and the driveshaft is a different design. (Better or worse?).

What are the general thoughts on reliability? Are they basically comparable to the KJ? I've been reasonably satisfied with my KJ's over the past decade or so.

I'm mainly looking at the KK because I tend to prefer the old style 4x4 machines, not a huge fan of AWD. While I rarely use the LOW range, I do find it kinda handy sometimes.

I never owned a KJ, but I am satisfied with the reliability of my KK. It's an 08 with 232,000 miles on it, so reliability at this stage is about maintenance and replacing stuff that breaks. But it is easy to work on, and yes the engine and transmission are the same as in the later KJ's. The transfer case is electronically controlled instead of with a shift lever, but that's been fine. The rear suspension may be less prone to issues on the KK because it doesn't use an upper boomerang and ball joint, but instead has a more traditional trailing arm & track bar design. The gas tank is in the center of the vehicle now, which lessens the chance of bad things with rear end collisions, which I think would be more of a risk if it was a mail vehicle. Also the KK is longer than the KJ so it has more cargo room for packages, trays of dps mail, flats, etc.
