x2!!
Look at Marlon! He's like an outcast with his WK but he's still here. :D

Random thoughts thread is your best friend. :D

Nowhere near an outcast. lol3.gif

How am I an outcast when my WK is parked right next to a KJ, which I drive on at least a weekly basis? :)

If you are dumping the KJ but want a better ride
and good 4wd then go WJ or ZJ
Stay away from the new grands with IFS
they have a "funny" front diff and much like the KJ there are
NO after market R&P's for them making 3.73 as low as you can go
I personaly would stay away from the 4 door JK until they put a V8 in them
the V6 just can not get the job done with out crazy low gears
The first choice Jeep for me ,should I dump the TJ, would be
an LJ Rubicon ,TJ unlimited

Now if you want improved MPG but still a very fun to drive small
SUV ,sort of, then VW Tiguan is where you want to be
when my wife said "that is what I want" I was all like NO
but then I drove it and being able to pass at 70 using the merge
lane is just plain fun

Biggest thing I want to dump is the IFS! If I get another Jeep now, it will be a ZJ Grand Cherokee. I'd love an LJ but they're too expensive at this point.

My Kj is probably gone come saturday aswell. I still have my old 90 XJ but its the last jeep left, it wont get sold until it doesnt move anymore, its the only vehicle that has held up to my abuse long enough to deserve a sacred place in my driveway.

Looks like I'll be staying after all! When I woke up this morning, the bathroom fan was dripping water. So I climbed in the attic, & the whole roof & decking are shot, mold is everywhere, & the insulation is wet & moldy. So no money is available for a new build up, & if I put tires on this then I'll be keeping it for awhile.Kick.gif

So dry your tears, KJpilot will be around for awhile longer... though I may change my name.:)

To what ... Bob Villa? :D

Seriously though .. I feel for ya. Just spent several days dealing with a similar problem at my in-laws. Trying to fix water damage before their bathtub ended up on the dining room table. Not fun!

Glad you'll be stickin around though and Good Luck!
