I have lifted KJ (OME/Rancho). Apparently all places near me are on a national backorder for 245/75, so I was wondering if I would be okay with 265/70? I'm running moabs so an inch wider.. is it a huge difference? thanks!

Are the Duratracs made in a 265/70R16? Goodyear doesn't list that size on their web site. I would love to get them in that size when I replace the 245/75R16 Silent Armors that I'm running now. Right now I think I may need to go a little higher and go with the 265/75R16 Duratracs.

tirerack listed 265/70r16 which is where I got the size from.. I would go with the 265/70r16 or 265/75r16 but I think it'll rub with the stock bumper.. if only I had like an ARB :)

discount tire somehow found 2 more 245/75 so I'm just sticking with that. thanks for the response tom!

Better choice with 265-70s it would of worked but 265-75s you really need to go to 4.10s to get the power back and mileage

I'm just thinking in my case the 265/70's wouldn't require as much trimming. I'm still considering them in the Silent Armors, but really like the Duratracs. I really don't want to change the lift around either. I'm stuck trying to figure out if I should go with the 265/70R16 Silent Armor, or the 245/75R16 Duratrac next.

Are you sure they are 16"? I can only find 265/70R17's on tirerack.com. I would love to get some 265/70/R16's, but the only mud tire that I can find in that size is the Cooper STT's.

Cheap tires...that's what the web site says. I don't like cheap. In expensive is ok though, but not cheap.... (I think the site meant inexpensive, hopefully )

245-75-16 and 265-70-16 are almost the same height

and there is no comparison in the retreads and the DuraTracs

Slightly North of the 49° th. Parallel... In HongC
I've spoken with a few locals who run Tread Wright "Guard Dog" tires on a
4Runner and a Cherokee and say they are "Pretty good" considering what
they cost.
Compared to Goodyear Dura Trac or M/T R's...
I just wonder who much they weigh.

Got the Duratracs mounted on Saturday... granted its only been a few days, but I like them quite a bit! A little soft compared to the MT/Rs but much much more daily driver friendly. Kinda wonder if I should have gone with load E instead of C.. oh well.. Very quiet, comfortable and actually perform much better than the MT/Rs in ice/light sheet of snow. The jeep only sees mild trails so it needs to be commuter friendly!

From Discount Tire 245/75r16, they have a $50 promotion for buying 4 tires, then Goodyear gives another $20, price match tirerack + mount/balance + AAA discount = $590 OTD :) which isn't jaw dropping but its pretty good compared to nearly $800 which I was quoted from several other places.

MTRs have a VERY HARD tread compound on them , Duratracs much softer better riding tire, will grip better, etc. I have about 5000 on mine and still loving them more than the previous 3 sets I have had on it well 4 if you include the MTRs I ran for a few days and HATED!
