Hello all,
The other day I went to clean my windshield and no fluid came out. I know theres fluid in there cause I recieved no notice from the HUD and I am **** retentive about my fluids. I read on other threads that it might be a hose that came of and to check thru the fire wall and all seemed well. I was wondering if anyone else had problems and possibly a solution? any ideas are welcome.

thanks,
Matt

Make sure reservoir is full. If hose came off, it could be dripping below or reservoir crack/leak in there?
Electrical problem?
With only ignition on (jeep not running) Have someone stand out side the kj on passenger side and listen for the pump to activate when you pull forward on wiper switch. If no sound is heard, check electrical, fuses wiring etc and hope it is not the pump itself. Best-O-Luck !

Dont count too much on the HUD, the water sensor on my Jeep came apart...I must get around to fitting it back again so now I do not get any error messages
at all...I just need to occasionaly fill up with washer fluid every so often.
Does the rear window washer work? There is only one washer motor which drives in one direction for the front screen and drives in the other direction for the rear screen; a system of valves direct the water to the front or back.
As stated above, have someone listen to the pump running, located on the side of the reservoir while squirting water either forward or backwards.
The connector for the pump is accessed though a flap in the rubber wheel arch covering in front of the front/right wheel...the connector can get disslogged by stones etc.

It is pretty loud. Have you tried spraying the rear window as I suggested?
And checked the motor plug is firmly connected?

Sounds like the pump is bad. The same pump runs forward for front wipers, backward for rear wipers. You should be able to hear it run. Just go get a new pump at the parts store. They are only about $17. Quick and easy fix.
