Ran into this video of a KJ on Hell's Gate

Anyone know who Ted is or anything else about his SAS?

That’s USAFCOP jeep over on lost. Hasn’t been active in a very long time like all the other SAS guys. He had a dana44 HP in the front and ford 9inch in back. One of the good SAS that were done.

You can also see Troys jeep at the end of the second video. They both were the rocklizard fabrications kit. Seems like they wheeled together a lot.

Troy and Teds KJs were both built using the kit that Marty ( owner from Rock Lizard Fabrications invented and built )
Great kits, both troy and teds were fully built the right way, no short cuts or hack jobs
I ended up with Teds old rear bumper ( which was the first one built by Marty ) when they SFAd it and built a different style
and then Troys old full length rock rails when they build new ones to tie everything together
Both Troys and Teds were built using full with 78 Ford 44s and 9 inch
Then also had some parts from Seth Greens KJ when he went SFA ( he was a marketing guy with ARB/OME back in the early days)
Seths was built by www.boulderbars.com ( ALLJs ) He even found a rear Dana 44 out of a South American KJ to put under his ( due to his ARB contacts )

tommudd,

Wow, that's a lot of great history from just one simple video that has no mention of the KJ in the title.

Ted, Troy , Marty and even Seth were good guys who I was friends with during their time as KJ owners
Knew them when we were all trying new things since the "so called big time manufacturers experts" said 2.5 inches was as high as you could lift them
Shared ideas, tried new ways, etc
