this started two days ago. Whenever im about to come to a stop my brakes make a grinding noise. the best way to explain is that it is like the sound when you put your e-brake on in nuetral on an incline and slowely let it go. that sound of the e-brake sliping on the brake drum is what ALL my breaks sound like. also, when im coming to a stop i can press the pedal a little bit and i have good braking power but then it seems like i lose all pressure and i have to press alot more. i checked the fluid and its full, and i do not have abs. any ideas? also i got new brakes this summer

well bleed the lines and while doin that just check the pads bc the pad can look fine but can be crystalized but when your on the brake pedal its just your front pads stoping and the ebrake is the rear brakes so is it coming from the front or rear?

what you describe....to me....it sounds like metal to metal.....probably you need to change ur pads before you mess up ur rotors, or at least just check em out it doesn't take but 2 bolts

If your pads are good and your fluid is at the right level, your pads could be slipping due to a weakening master cylinder. Have a break shop check it out. If it's not simple pads, rotors and lines; I like the confidence of taking my breaks to a reputable break shop.

I have had breaks make a grinding noise even when the pads were down with metallic brake pads when they get low like an 8th" left. Still it is not normal so you got to remove the wheel or wheels and see how much pad ya got left ha and right!
