I will have to agree with TBJ on this one
if it is making noise then chances are really good the bearing is shot
here is how you can tell for sure
jack up the front and drain the diff
then spin the front with your hand if it is real noisy then there you go ,bearing
if it is quiet then replace the seal
it will make more noise with no oil
if you need to replace the bearing then I would overhaul the front diff
depending on milage <50k just the bearing and seal
>50k ,over haul
and seeing as how you are in there why not just do a True Track?
only going to cost you an extra $350 over the cost of the job any way
