Hi all I am kind of new at this, but kind of not. This is the first 4wd vehicle I have owned in the last 20 years. I make up a kit of emergency items that I carry in each of my cars like triangle reflectors, flash light, poncho, first aid kit, duck tape, water, food, change of warm cloths, etc.

What I would like to know is what do you carry in your liberty on a daily basis and what do you add when you go wheeling. I realize that this will vary with region but some of the things will be the same.

Inside my Liberty... (and almost everything is hidden)
A lot of these items are a direct result of deep adventures into the high desert. And this stuff is always in the Liberty.

My PSP (Personal Survial Pak)
2 Maglites (a 3-D and a 4-D)
Water bottle that can be filled.
Small pak that contains Sunblock, a-gel, lipbalm.
Extensive repair kit, holding duct tape, portable inflator, tie wraps, wire, wrenchs, vicegrips, large screwdrivers, torx wrench, SRK, etc, etc...
Extensive first aid kid and I mean extensive.
Travel soap box containing plastic bags.
Gerber multi tool.
Fleece blanket wrapped up with nylon straps
Fire extinguisher (under the pass seat)
Complete printout of all trouble codes.
Tire pressure gauge
Flares
Lugnut breaker bar
Spare flipflops for my gal.
Some basic meds, like those new dissolving pain killers.
Other misc. stuff.

I keep my CB, cb antenna, that clear box, and my umbrella under my rear seat. The sun shade stays in the rear floor and everything else goes in that green craftsman bag. O:)

I keep the book about birds and the book about trees in my pocket on the back of the passenger seat. The tokens and cards stay in the pocket in the trunk..

I keep it all in the jeep at ALL times. \:D/

All sort of junk.

I hate cluttered cargo area. I have a cargo net, I stick everthing in there,
I have a bag of cleaning stuff for the KJ,
swiffer duster, three cans of different armor all, tire shine, etc..
hazard triangle,
first aid kit,
6 led small flashlight,
self powered shake-up 1-LED flashlight,
pen,
some paper,
tri-state map,
ny detail map, nj highway map.
LOST NE business cards,
my business cards,
drained bluetooth headset,
some cds,
steering wheel lock,
box of calanders from my job,
empty box i can stuff it with anything,
one spare windshield wiper (used),
spare lugnuts,
plastic spatula,
small swissknife,
psi checker upper gauge
fm transmitter which I dont use anymore
screwdriver set with all sizes all shapes

but I hate the cluttered cargo area, I would love it someone made a small box that doesn't take up too much space, probably horizontal that I can put right behind the seat and stick everything in there.

i should be carrying more stuff actually...

In my KJ I've got a huge gun box with the following (and more):

large maglite
cigarette lighter powered spotlight (for repairs etc.)
truck tyre inflator and pressure metre
toilet paper (for emergencies - not happened yet, mostly for mopping stuff up)
bin bags (for lining the back or covering the grille when going for a dip)
2 10L jerrycans

And a big 1st aid kit,
bottle of antifreeze,
bottle of windscreen washer fluid,
spare bulbs,
fluorescent vests (legal requirement in some european countries)
maps,
and a couple of shells, pine cone, and golf ball as souvenirs from various trips :)

And i need a window hammer with the seatbelt razor, warning triangles, and fire extinguisher...

EDIT: Suncream! A must (except I live in Scotland, so not a must), esp for South Africa (but I'm not going there in my KJ so what is the point???)

FINALLY! I was wondering who actually carried themselves in their Jeep besides me!

What, do you guys just park these vehicles for show or something?

Is that a machete or knife between your sub and tool box?

haha, its a machete.. O:)

I would say I have around 100-125lbs of extra stuff in my jeep at ALL times. That weight is with the sub box also. O:)

Lol - at least I keep vaguely essential things in the car unlike golfclubs!

Unless you live in a really dangerous area and need 14 clubs to bash your way to your front door (whistle)
