has anybody installed this product, or one like it?

http://www.autotrucktoys.com/libert...ixed-Mount-Illumination-System-P2554C524.aspx

it says it needs 3/4" clearance above the hitch and some of the hitches i see for my 03 sport look pretty close. i dont yet have a hitch. i am window shopping at the moment, but need one before spring. ive been looking at some differant hitches and dont know what to get. square, round, i dont know. im concerned with the look and neatness of how it looks. i want it to look pro. i dont want wires hanging and dangling around.

anybody have this, or can point me in the direction of something else like it?

thanks
james

That's alot of money in my opinion. $90.00!
The local farm supply store is selling the same lights and nicer rectangular ones in kit form with wiring for $7.77 a pair! And this is B.C. Canada, we usually pay through the nose for everything!
I'm sure that if you went to a Harbor Freight or similar shop (I bought a pair of Platinum burners for $15.00 at Wal Mart just before Christmas!), you could probably buy something at an inexpensive price and mount them directly to the hitch. That way you can also adjust each light independently.
Just a suggestion.

I was looking at those on the "white night" website and was thinking of them only because they plug right into the 7 prong wireing plug on my KJ (I have the factory tow package on mine) so no wireing is necessary. It is just a plug-in when you get the adapter. I never got past the "thinking about it" stage. Back-up lighting is really lacking on the KJ.

I don't know what hitch to suggest for you.

$90 is a lot of money for something like that.

Ive been wanting to figure out a way to have some nice back up lights without them looking stupid. Those are 'ok' but I wouldnt give over $40 for them..

Yea, me too...........I bought one that just plugs into the 7 pin trailer wireing connector and it just comes on when you shift to reverse. It doesn't seem to work that good and I think it's because it is too low. Need something mounted higher.
