timing chain kit

So im thinking the engine noise i was hearing is timing chain. Does the exact same noise the guy on youtube mrtj jeepkj did. Any good kits out there? What else should i check while im around that area?

Yeah i watched all of them. I have the 2002 limited 3.7. So all tge videos you posted was different things?

It's a big job. You might need a few special tools. Is the chain worn out or just the tensioners and guides? these motors tend to be good on chain ware

Copy the links of the videos that sound like your issues that will help tremendously. Or comment on your video saying "hey I'm so and so from the forum" and I'll know what youre talking about

The tensioner like to fail and break though. That's what my issue was. Fixed it one time (whole kit chains guides tensioner sprockets ) you name it. 6 months later she jumped time now I have a new engine. Be careful use good parts.

Tomorrow im goin to take it to a certified shop to diagnose it and see exactly what im looking at. Ill keep you posted

If you don't do with the mopar one I would recommend the cloye's timing set for it. I have used there timing sets on plenty of other motors and never had a problem. I also just put this set on my 3.7 I rebuilt for my liberty. In my opinion it's very good quality.
