Need a tire rotation also on a side note do not put cheap binding caps on your stems. The girlfriend vato zoned my jeep. I think less is more but the little skull caps weren't awful. Until I went to check tire pressure and it snapped the metal stem. Anyway happy fun times in the snow...

I'm assuming that "happy fun times in the snow" means you got out of that all right. :Caffeine:

Your 110% correct. Tow straps it was. Still had fun! Was my own fault though knowing how light the back end is and the fact that I am on all seasons that need to be rotated badly.

Wish we'd get some snow, enough to engage the 4WD... not likely. But hey, going to have some temps in the teens, nothings impossible. ;)

Had some hack at the tire dealer thought he would be smart and use a dremel cut-off wheel to remove a stuck metal stem cap. He got the cap off alright but sliced into the stem and now you cannot fill the tire because the air goes out the side hole he made. Of course it's an expensive TPMS stem! I use nothing but cheap plastic caps now.... The lessons you learn when you move from a no salt environment (Oregon) to a damned salty one (NY).

It is ok to use metal caps as long as you remember to put a "sniff" of anti-sneeze on the threads. :icon_lol:

That way you wont have to worry when removing caps!
And..you wont have to worry about future winter Hick-Ups either.

The valve stem would have snapped using regular plastic caps. My sister goes through at least one every year. They corrode, weaken, then snap. It's a really crappy design. My 2010 has a regular type valve stem, I believe it's made out of brass, maybe?, yet I still have TPMS.

Dunno how they didn't catch this issue in testing...
