Sway bar bushings replacement

Question:
Is is possible to replace the sway bar bushings by just removing/reassembling the bushing mounts and pressing in the new bushings in OR the sway bar end links must be removed as well for removing the whole sway bar from the truck to complete the replacement procedure?

Leave the tie rod ends - those are part of the steering assembly and not the sway bar.

The bushings usually have a slot cut in them which SHOULD allow you to open them up and press them over the bar. That being said, I found it kinda difficult so I removed the top bolt on the end link and slid the bushing over if I remember correctly.

yea I meant sway bar end links, my bad, edited my question..

I have took mine off and put them back in without removing the sway bar links. Was really easy on my truck. Try it and see how it goes for you.

I did it without removing the bar. I think I got the Moog bushings, they are blue and they had a split on the back. I slipped them over more towards the center of the vehicle where there is more room then slid them to the sides.

Just did mine. I had the links off since I'm working on the struts also. I removed the bushing mounts, lubed up the new blue beauties with red bearing grease, slipped them on and done. Really simple. Probably 15 mins if you need to search for the tools that you need.
