Speaker Mystery

I have an '03 Sport with aftermarket headunit and speakers. The speakers on the dash by the windshield cut in and out. But when they cut out, you can get them to cut back in if you turn the volume up high very quickly. When I hit a bump they will cut out.

I am guessing it is a loose connection, but before I take it apart, I wanted to get some input. Anyone have this problem or have any suggestions?

Loose connection. Happened to me with my Alpines in the door, raise the volume or tap the speaker and they will work for a few mins, hit a bump, they turn off. Ended up that the ground terminal was loose, easy fix for an annoying problem.
