So tomorrow I will be attempting to put my skid row engine/trans skid on and was wondering if this can be done as a one man job? If so any tips on installing this specific skid? From what I've read I won't need any threaded inserts as I can drill the crossmember? Is this correct? Also should i use grade 8 bolts on skids? I bought it slightly used so I didn't get the hardware with it.

Grade 8 bolts, 45ft/lbs torque setting, yes you can drill the cross member but be sure to put some rust-proofing paint around the edges of the holes. It can be a one man job, but it helps to use a length of 4x2 and a jack to position/hold the skids in place - they are heavy buggers!

Can't think of anything else offhand.
