Side steps and rock rails, work?

I have what I have read as being called the rock rails (see pic), and I wanted to install some side steps since my short azz keeps marking up the rocker pannels. Can they both be on at the same time? I would think not but I figured I'd ask if anyone has tried to have both. Again, in case anyone has ever read something I posted, I am not am avid offroader. My jeep will be a weather ranger more than anything so if I have to take off the stock rails I can, but I don't want to store them. Besides I like the look.

I'm pretty sure they can't be left on at the same time. You could get running boards that look like the rock rails. It would be cool if you could find a set like this (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/d...undQQRunning_BoardsQQ20052007QQL32226020.html)
in brushed aluminum or power coated black.

Nice looking Renne.

You must remove the Renne rock rails to install another type of rail or step. I know this because when Drew switched to side steps he had to take his rock rails off. Then I personally attached them to my KJ..
