Hello:
I had a blow out on my 05 Liberty Sport and the side marker socket was destroyed. What is left is a 3 prong socket.

What I need is the section that plugs into a 3 prong male plug and the bulb goes into the end and this end then screws into the amber lense housing.

From what I can tell the part I need is: 05288931AA.

Can someone please confirm this is correct? And also can someone tell me if there is an alternate part that I could pick up at autozone or another local auto parts store? I am willing to rig it up almost anyway I can to get the light working. I would prefer to not have to wait for shipping of a part.

Also, since this part(including the bulb) is missing would that be why my blinker on this side is flashing fast?

Thanks in advance for you help.

The blinker is probably flashing fast because it popped a fuse. Check that first.

Actually most likely not. When you don't have a bulb or the bulb is burnt out, the signal will blink very quickly. I've had quite a few signals and tail lights burn out so I'm fairly positive of this.
