I thought about getting set of rubicon wheels
http://www.finishlinewheels.com/JEEP/WRANGLER/2005/A-09047U15/

with set of BFG KO tires.
http://www.costco.com/Tires/Product...62651&Aspect=70&Diameter=16&Speed=S&Width=235

Question is,
would the rims (16x8) running on 245/70/16 work with my liberty without a lift?
According to the famous chart http://www.jeepkj.com/forumpics/tires/tiresize.jpg with 7 inch width it should work fine, only problem moabs are 8 inches wide.

Just looking for someone who has these on their unlifted KJ, and wanted to what size rim/tires they are running on.

there are people on here that I've read about who are running 245/70 on moab wheels with no lift, and they say they have very little to no rubbing issues. this is something I would like to do as well someday, but I'm a little unsure about it too.

This guy (R.Rabbit) says he has 245/75 which is taller than the 245/70 and very little rubbing.----- http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?p=295840&highlight=moab+wheels+245%2F70#post295840

I not going to be flexing it much so I am not worried about rubbing. I am going to post on those topics to see if they can come back and post a bit more info.

same here, I mostly just drive around town...but occasionally I'll go down a dirt road or two. I LOVE the idea of the Moab/Rubicon wheels with the 255/65 tires, I think that would be the best comination...but it'll be a little while before I'm able to do that.

255 would be just too much, I think, with our unlifted post-lowered KJs.
245/70 should be fine with me. I have tried everything and I think this is the best way to go instead of sticking to 17s and getting something mediocre.

I have a pretty weak setup with my moabs...kept the stock gy 225/75's on because they only had 8k on them at the time. It works, but there is a small gap between the sidewall of the tire and the lip of the rim. I'm approaching 40k miles without any problems, but i'll probably switch tire size. I'm going to keep it as close to the same diameter as practical because i have a flashed pcm that i don't want the dealership to touch.

btw, most of my driving is highway and i do no serious off-roading.
